Horrible experience . Staff rude. No punctuality .

Appointment was confirmed for 1000 hrs. The clinic was found to be closed. The patient had to stand in the cold for25 mins. The head office then responded that the audiologist was caught in the traffic and would be in office in 5 mins. This was at 1015 hrs. However the person incharge only showed up at 1030 hrs. When confronted his excuse was not the traffic but m/ c puncture. Clearly it was a lie. The audiometry was not done as the patient was abruptly told the ear had wax. Moreover, the audiologist showed no remorse nor did he present any apology.

MIsleading information and fake Caller IDs

At the suggestion of my ENT, I called the toll free number they gave me for Amplfon. It was a lengthy recording that tried to sell me security pendants and assorted crap unrelated to hearing aids.

855-832-**** is the number they gave me.

So I hung up and Googled their number. Completely different number. I called it and spoke with a very friendly man who quoted me substantially less than my ENT wanted for the Widex hearing aids I need tor my hearing loss / tinnitus.

The price he quoted was exactly what I found while looking up the same product in Google while we were on the phone. NO difference or better price at all.

He connected me with Miracle Ear.

They wanted me to come in for testing before they could even tell me if they had the models of Widex I need. It was a very high pressure sales tactic. I told them to have someone at the local store who actually knew the inventory call me back.

The next day I get a call from the store. They tell me they don't carry Widex.

You would think Amplifon would know this.

The next day I get a call from a MIracle Ear caller ID. It is the same man I spoke with at Amplifon initially. I told him Miracle Ear doesn't carry what we discussed. He said he would get back to me.

Yesterday I got a call from a Colloid Envir caller ID.

It was Amplifon again.

Do NOT trust these people. There is something very wrong with what they are doing.

Would not let me switch to another type of hearing aid as per their agreement as one hearing aid was lostt after first two hours Due to giving me ones that were too big and sure to fall out.

I dont think its fair to do that when you pay $4000 and another 1000 by government. If i had them for any length of time and fitted properly i would understand it was my fault. Not even two hours and fell out.

Got hearing aid. Didn’t fit. New first time wearingi too big fell out goy lost. Would not let me do an exchange to a different one out

Their agreement states if you lose one you cant exchange for different pair even though you have warranty gave no instructions and was too big so lost one after 2 hours first day so stuck with same one. Said they would do a mould. Why wasnt that done the first time. Now i am stressed about one as it wont be replaced.

Same thing happened to me. Less than 2 hours fell out and lost and they won't let me exchange for another type.

They are going to do a mold so it will fit better.

I guess they don't do that until you lose one and the Agreement won't let you exchange even thought it was their fault that it fell out giving ones that were too big. I went with them thinking that I would have a trial.

Yet when I insisted, I wanted hearing aids you place inside the ear he told me 5 to 6 times they would be no good for me as I have a bad hearing loss in both ears.

He is only a glorified technician.

You can train monkeys to do their job.

After the 20th 25th of December if this matter is not resolved to my liking.

The Third World War will start I will hound these people at Amplifon.

PRESS, PROTEST, PAMPLETTS They started this war I will finish it. This is a promise.

I also am an Author with 120 social media pages I will plaster the actions of Amplifon

on all my social media pages. Current affairs, radio and newspapers.

I am going to give the Amplifon eight weeks to send a written apology.

I will be sending a copy of this report to ACCC with misleading information. Laws are being broken.

I am going to send a copy of this report to SA Audiology.

I have not sent Amplifon this email so far.

The other thing I find so upsetting about this whole matter is I told this guy that on my mothers side of the family that goes back seven generations we are Indigenous Australians. I think he took me for a fool. I am nobody's duck.

In spite of many complaints no improvement even on. Home visit by person from. Company and my visit to. Clinic now they.

Want just to repair which is useless I don't want to purchase or keep these with me as. I can not use . I feel cheated and harassed in my age Of83 I am physically not well. Also I have no faith in products of this company.

I have requested to refund my money but no response. I am afraid the time of 60days will lapse by the time they take action is taken. Please help.

This *** rang me and threatened me because I told him that Amplifon are ripping off the Australian public. Misleading information. They are all about sales, not their client's needs. The dollar is worth more to this company. So please do not get sucked in by their TV ads. Rubbish. I also told him that I am reporting Amplifon to all Government agencies. Online test seems like a con to get your details and onboard

I am in my early 60s and did National Hearing Care's online test. I was presented with 5 situations where there was background noise and voices speaking. After each recording I was asked to answer a question about the foreground conversation. I was happy to find that I could answer all 5 questions correctly. I put in details to allow me to receive my report and was told that I had reached a score of 5/10 and that I was showing signs of hearing loss. No explanation of why this might be the case when the test was 5/5. The report was from a no-reply site so I couldn't respond about it directly.

Hello. I'm very sorry to say that the hearing aids I have under the 60-day return policy are not acceptable to me. I have emailed Anne at your Portsmouth branch who I got them from, as cannot get an answer on the phone. due to this COVID situation, I guess. Anyway, the problem is... They irritate my inner ear and cause a bit of pain. Also, they are too expensive for me. I knew the price when getting them, but unfortunately, my finances have taken a turn for the worst. I would like to know where I can return them, and cancel my order, please? Kind regards Robert Needham

Store closed on appointment date. Had problems with aids. were sent back then returned with no explanation. had to exchange. No power supplies in store. Attended store (eventually) for adjustment appointment but audiologist was not familiar with Cros system. tried to get ME to talk to the manufacturer! Waiting time between appointments has been over 4 weeks. Tried writing to HO and to the chairman but no reply. Cancelled and luckily got my money back. Wouldn't recommend this company.

Ripping off the elderly

Dear Sir/Madam Good morning, let me start by firstly saying that I’m disgusted and disappointed as to how your company treats elderly people when it’s mainly these people that pay your wages. Anne Hardwick is an 84 year old lady on her own with no family here in Spain, I have known and worked for Anne now for a couple of years and know and have heard all the problems that she’s had with hearing aids and the money she has spent out with no help or care from your company. Ms Hardwick purchased the hearing aids in December 2017 and throughout that year repeatedly she had gone to the office in Calle Real in Estepona Spain and complained continuously that the hearing aids were not working, she could make out sounds and hear voices but not make out words or listen to music because it wasn’t clear and she couldn’t hear what was being said or sung, the only thing the people in your office did was put them on the computer do a diagnostic test then gave them back working exactly the same as when she entered the shop, this isn’t customer care or support in helping an elderly lady hear again. I had been listening to Anne’s dissatisfaction for well over a year with her first set being painful and couldn’t wear then yours not working and picking up sounds but not understanding what someone is saying, so I went to your outlet in Estepona, I could see the woman’s face change as we walked into the shop, she was straight on the defensive and I had never met her before but obviously she knew Anne was in to complain again about the hearing aids that haven’t worked for a year but she paid over €2000.00 for them, the woman only said Anne you’ll have to wait I’m with someone now..! No greeting, No hello Anne how are you..! No Hi Anne are your hearing aids working now..! So you take the money and don’t care if they work or not basically..? I asked the woman who the boss was and she said she didn’t know, I had to ask her who has the keys to the door and the combination to the safe to find out she was actually the boss, didn’t have a clue what a franchise was, first she said you have to ask for a refund before a month then Anne said she was complaining in the first month the woman said you have to ask for a refund, Anne said you told me you was going to fix them,! Then the woman checked the computer and said it’s after a year and you’re 14 or 16 days out, even though Anne’s been complaining for that whole year, I said to the woman so even though you’ve known for a year they didn’t work, you said you would fix them but haven’t, and we are returning faulty goods that have never worked you can not give a percentage on a refund for returning the items, no she said you will have to complain, and I myself except the challenge. Firstly I’ll take it to all your head offices if I have no response from that, then I will do an email to the official complaints department Malaga of which protects customers from businesses that rip off clients or customers, while that is being processed I’ll put it up on all social media sites ie. Facebook, Twitter and YouTube I like doing videos, then if I’m still not receiving the response I want I’ll call one of the lawyers I know and put forward a denuncia against your company for ripping off an 84 year old lady by not following customer care guidelines, aftercare as well as retail laws regarding refunding, customer rights and take it through the courts. So please tell me this, ? Do you think it’s fare that an 84 year old lady alone with no family here should have to spend €7000.00 odd on a pension just to be able to get the joy of hearing her passed daughter sing again..? The first set from specksavers were very painful and she couldn’t wear them, a present, second set, yours didn’t work she couldn’t listen to her music, now the last set in 2 years she actually heard her daughter singing but should it really have cost her that much money, worry and stress for something that should have worked with the first €2000.00 spent, now the last ones will cost her €1000.00 a month for 3 months, this lady still needs to eat, pay for electric, water and community charge on a pension.
